Recently, I had an incredible conversation with a dear friend who was struggling with the difficult decision of medicating her child for a mental health diagnosis.  I've had this conversation before with a lot of friends; I've been there myself. This is a woman who has bucked some serious conventional norms. I'd describe her as a cultural disruptor. We talked about this being an *opportunity* to challenge the conventional cultural programming around mental health and our kids. We wouldn't hesitate to give our kids insulin for a diabetes diagnosis but medicating our kids for mental health conditions feels really scary. Stigma around mental health is still a very real thing. A disruptor will confront that belief every time. Sometimes we must challenge our programming in order to maximize greater good, push into new territory, and chart new paths.

A disruptor is powerful force for positive change that challenges conventional wisdom, breaks down barriers, and revolutionizes the way cultures operate.

What does it mean to be a disruptor in your own life? Who would you become if you challenged your limiting beliefs, disrupted your core patterns, questioned some things that were just handed down to you? LIke my friend's daughter, it could be life-saving.

Set the timer on your phone for 2 minutes and get still. Ask yourself what thoughts you would want to disrupt the most if you could. Then get curious about where those thoughts originated. This simple practice can lead to some profound self-discovery!

May you disrupt both the cultural programming and your old conditioning - peace and fulfillment are on the other side.

If you want help along the way, I am always here!
